My upbringing in Australia and my years living in Shanghai uniquely position me to dissolve cultural barriers and impart invaluable insights to my clients.
After graduating from law school in Australia I decided to take a risk. Instead of taking the conventional career path, I pursued the opportunity to work with 88rising as a creative executive while also DJing and producing events.
As a DJ, I’ve been hired for countless events, and gleaned indispensable knowledge on the exact components of how to execute a successful event in Asia.
In addition, my time working in the music industry generated a diverse network of Asian creatives and granted me access to the fashion industry, modelling opportunities, and a subculture of brilliant innovators.
My experience working in both agency settings and as hired talent has helped me forge a unique perspective when it comes to communications. As a part of the local underground, I have a front-row seat to the cutting edge of music, fashion, and culture. I see how trends and movements develop before they reach a critical mass giving brands a leg up on competitors. I believe in empowerment, authenticity, and providing opportunities for up and coming talent.
I co-founded NVSHU, a multidisciplinary feminist creative project which centers women and the LGBTQI community with the goal of creating better opportunities through community and collaboration.
It was through NVSHU that I gained first-hand experience creating intentional spaces for women and the LGBTQI community. Our work in these spaces attracted brand attention and opened the door to working alongside them.
Working with big brands like Gucci, Saint Laurent, Nike, and others opened my eyes to the immense power brands have to facilitate events, activations, and campaigns that engage with communities and subcultures.
My personal project, a podcast called Friend Crush, expands on my work and engages directly with listeners who are innovators, community leaders, and believers in both love for oneself and the world around them.
Friend Crush is a source of inspiration that never dries up and continues to spark meaningful dialogues between my international audience and myself.
My podcast acts as a looking glass into what resonates with my audience and how they view the world.
